Another good rec from my coworker! We’ve started a shared book recommendation list in the office so pretty soon I’ll have to see if anyone else has as similar taste as she and I. And surprisingly they are all very different in content and genre.
The Sisters Brothers by Patrick DeWitt is a kind of western parody. The Sisters brothers are hired hit men, sent by the Commodore to “take care of” a man out west. It is the time of the gold rush, so if you don’t like horses, saloons, and some bloodshed, this isn’t the book for you. What I liked most was the character development – the book is mainly the two brothers, so you really get to know them. It was an easy read and entertaining the whole time. Definitely recommended!
