This book kept popping on my recommendations then I finally had a friend personally recommend it. My last fiction read, The Dinner, was hailed as the “European Gone Girl.” I did not agree. The Girl on the Train, however, fits that bill perfectly. Rachel, an alcoholic divorcée, finds herself on the outskirts of, but also somehow deeply entwined in the case of a missing woman. This book covers divorce, infidelity, addiction, murder and more. It was a quick read, entertaining throughout, and I highly recommend it.
