Finished my final two books for this year. Enjoy the reviews and I’ll get to a full year round up in the next few days!

This is the second book I’ve read by this duo and this one may be even better than the first. You Are Not Alone by Greer Hendricks & Sarah Pekkanen is a true thriller that kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Shay hits a low in her life – a temp job going nowhere, few friends, a having to hunt for a new apartment in New York City. Then she witnesses a tragic incident that propels her into a wave of seemingly good luck. But nothing is at it seems. Not many characters have truly redeeming qualities, which usually bothers me, but it did not seem to bother me this time. Definitely check it out!

This is not your typical novel or biography, but it was a meaningful book to me this year. Live in Grace, Walk in Love by Bob Goff is a year-long daily devotional. It is similar messaging to Goff’s great book Love Does. Sometimes it does feel a little repetitive, but it was a great reminder, especially this year, of the love we are called to give those around us, both friend and stranger. It is on the lighter side, but it is a great daily devotion.
