Saw the talented Marc Broussard perform this past weekend and he was as great as expected. What was not expected was the amazing group that opened for him and then performed with him – Mingo Fishtrap. So fun and entertaining.
I think I’ve said before that I would much rather spend my money on live music over almost anything else. Last weekend, I was lucky enough to attend one of the most amazing concerts I’ve been to – and I’m pretty sure that I will ever go to. Garth Brooks puts on an incredible show. Fifty-two is not that old, but he did not stop for 2 hours straight – not just playing, but running, jumping, dancing around the stage. Some nights he did 2 shows in one night.
Of course he sang all the hits – all still great even 20+ years later for some. And Trisha Yearwood was the icing on the cake.
It’s been a while since I’ve crossed off any 101 items! But recently, #43, to see a concert in another city, was fulfilled! I was visiting Atlanta and went to see Butch Walker with one of my closest friends, Tess! It was the most interesting venue I’ve ever been to, Variety Playhouse. It’s part theater seating, part standing only. Butch definitely puts on an entertaining show, which may or may not have to do with the alcohol and/or drugs that he may or may not be on. But it was definitely a show. And tons of fun!!
